چکیده
Abstract Background There is growing evidence that the C1qTNF-related protein (CTRP) family has a crucial role in pathophysiology of metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes (T2D) and obesity. We sought to identify association CTRP1 CTRP5 circulating levels with various obesity parameters visceral adipose tissue (VAT) thickness, adiposity index (VAI), carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT) patients T2D controls. Methods This preliminary study consisted men (n = 42) without 42). The measurement cIMT VAT was performed using an Accuvix XQ ultrasound. Circulating CTRP1, CTRP5, adiponectin were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results CTRP-1 CTRP1/CTRP5 ratio markedly higher compared controls (p < 0001 p 0004 respectively). Interestingly, binominal logistic regression revealed level associated presence (odds [OR]: 1.009 [95% CI: 1.004–1.015]; P .001). correlated WHR, VAT, HOMA-IR whole population study. Also, we observed plasma (? 0.648, 0.005) 0.444, 0.049) are independently value. Conclusions Our results indicated concentrations atherosclerosis these adipokines might have causal for cardiometabolic risk T2D.However, more studies large sample sizes required clarify CTRPs pathogenesis.

Comparison of the Intima-media Thickness of Carotid Artery in Children with Diabetes Type One and Control Group Using Ultrasound
Background & Aims: Diabetes is a very important factor for stroke due to blocked blood vessels. It can involve systemic and cerebrovascular arteries at the same time via microangiopathy and macroangiopathy. This project aimed to compare the intima-media thickness of carotid artery in children with diabetes type and the control group. Methods: In this case-control study, 50 children with the age...
متن کاملassociation of microalbuminuria and estimated glomerular filtration rate with carotid intima-media thickness in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
conclusions our study shows a relationship between cimt and renal parameters, including egfr and albuminuria. this study confirms the importance of intensive examinations for early detection of atherosclerosis and treatment of risk factors. patients and methods this cross-sectional study was included 205 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (t2dm). we recorded clinical and biochemical data su...
متن کاملCarotid intima-media thickness in individuals with and without type 2 diabetes: a reproducibility study
BACKGROUND The use of carotid intima-media thickness (carotid IMT) as a surrogate marker of cardiovascular disease is increasing and the method has now also been applied in several trials investigating patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Even though knowledge about methodology is of highest importance in order to make accurate power calculations and analyses of results, no reproducibility stud...
متن کاملAssociation of postprandial hypertriglyceridemia and carotid intima-media thickness in patients with type 2 diabetes.
OBJECTIVE Serum triglyceride levels are important in the development of atherosclerosis. Although triglyceride levels are generally increased in the postprandial periods, the association between postprandial triglyceride (pTG) levels and atherosclerosis has not been investigated in diabetic patients. To investigate the role of pTG levels in atherosclerosis, we examined the correlation between p...
